Confirmed from Mammoth Highlands Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (144 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“Well kept park, playground and bathroom, tennis court, and a big field”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“The park is secluded from the rest of the hustle bustle so it is quiet, the playground equipment is fun, and it is very dog friendly.”

Now THIS. THIS place is my FAVORITE park in Moorpark. I've been to almost all the parks that Moorpark has to offer (which is a lot!) And this one tops it. The park is secluded from the rest of the hustle bustle so it is quiet, the playground equipment is fun, and it is very dog friendly.

Nice park. Big green open space, basketball and tennis courts, benches and tables to sit, and access to a hilly area with trails. The hilly area is rather barren, but still nice to walk. Nice views of the surrounding hills

We went here to fly kites. I watched two children get stung by bees while there. I don't remember being so foolish as a child that I would walk heedlessly through a field of bee-filled clover flowers in flip-flops. I like to think that my step-son is a bit wiser about bees now.

Love this park, great for everything. They have 1 tennis court and 1 basketball area. Hiking trail as well. Huge grass area for many to enjoy. 1 large and 1 small playground.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
