Confirmed from Hamilton-Ballard Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Hamilton-Ballard Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (44 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

No clear indication of where to park or where entrances are. Nice level gravel path to walk, said 5 laps equal a mile. Playground equipment is nicely maintained for the most part.

★★★★☆ — Ann , May 2023

Great park with new additions!!! Now the running track is paved so perfect for little ones with scooters. They have a merry-go-round and a sitting zip line like equipment. Has benches and more under a covering. A semi baseball and soccer field. Anniston library added a borrow a book box by the extra doggie bags.

★★★★★ — Andrew , Feb 2024

Nice, fenced in park. Playground equipment for kids and a nice place to walk dogs. Pick up bags are provided. There's a water fountain fo humans and a bowl for dogs. People generally pick up after their dogs there.

★★★★★ — Tara , Oct 2019

Get little neighborhood park... Soccer net & playground & walking trail. Anniston doesn't have much but this is a gem for kid's & parents alike..

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
