Confirmed from Happy Tails Dog Park - Buffalo Grove's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Spacious area for dogs to socialize and run, often with divided space for smaller dogs.
What runners say about Happy Tails Dog Park - Buffalo Grove
“It's not next to any major road so it's secluded enough to be quiet and looks like it's very well maintained.”
“The park has shade for humans, benches, and water for dogs.”
The GPS location for the dog park is CORRECT right now as of December 20, 2020, but use it if and only if you are getting there on foot. If you are driving there using this location, it will direct you to the dead end as shown in my photo.
Love this dog park! It's always well taken care of and other owners are always polite. There's a nice path so that you can walk around while your dog plays/with your dog. There's also a small dog area, which is great as my dog gets scared of big dogs.
Completely fenced off. Water fountain. Lots of empty bowls for water. Section for small dogs. Separate section for big dogs. Nice layout with a path for walking, friendly people and dogs. Parking is at the end of the Metra station lot. Then you need to walk a bit before you get to the dog park.
It's big with plenty of parking and space for dogs to run around in. It even has a small dog area. It also has 2 water fountains with hoses and plenty of dog bowls around the park. There are several benches and covered areas to sit on as well.
Trail conditions & character
“The GPS will bring you to the wrong side of the train tracks if you go to "Happy Tails Dog Park" and it is about 8 minutes away from where the dog park actually is driving-wise.”
“If you are driving there, use the location "Buffalo Grove" train station as the previous people suggested and go to the end of the parking lot.”
