Confirmed from Harold B. Clark Town Forest's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Harold B. Clark Town Forest

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (16 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

The trails are great but they are desperately in need of maintenance. I've had to do a lot of brush clearing to keep some of the trails passable. If the trails were maintained they'd be 6 stars but there is no signage, and 0 maintenance done. Windblown trees are knocked down everywhere.

Lots of side trails off of the main trail. Some ups and downs, but not even moderate in difficulty. Can easily do 3 to 4 miles with young children. Trail goes around/near 2 ponds. Some rocky and rooty areas, but not difficult. Can get muddy after a storm.

Wonderful warm January weekend. Lovely place. Took the dogs. Many many people walking around here with their dogs on and off leash. What's a little hard as my dog get excited when other dogs are around and some of them are not leashed. But overall had a good time

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
