Confirmed from Harper Creek Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“It is a good trail for all ages.”

Nice trail to wander. We walked 2.5 miles and the evening was closing on us. So decided to turn around. Next time we will come early to get to the Harper falls. It is a good trail for all ages. Moderate level. Bring water or a filter. And snacks. There are some primitive camp sites along the way.

Beautiful views, easy to intermediate hike we did it with our 8 year old and our dog they enjoyed a lot. There are quite a few great spots for camping right around the river. And wonderful ponds to swim in. Definitely coming back to camp for the weekend!

★★★★★ — Jordana , Oct 2020

Fantastic trail to bring your family. The first 10 to 15 minutes of the trail is up mountain and arduous but it gets easier after that. It is approximately one and a half miles to get to the falls.

★★★★★ — Ronnie , Jul 2021

The only downside is that there aren't great maps available for the trails. I'm not sure I could find my way back to all the awesome waterfalls and swimming holes.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
