Confirmed from Hartshorne Woods Park, Rocky Point entrance's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

The park has many trails you can take. Ricky Point and Grand concourse trails are very challenging pathes that have a good number of inclines that are 30 - 40 degree angles. Be alert, there are mountain bikers that ride along the trails also. If you make it to the pier you get a beautiful view.
This trail provides a lovely hike through a hardwood forest that offers stunning glimpses of the Navesink and Shrewsbury as you climb to the trail's apex. The trail intersects with the Battery Loop near the overlook, providing sweeping views of the water.
Cool place. Clean trails. Light traffic on a weekday afternoon. Will be back. I like the h2o stations. Thanks.
Amazing trails with a blend of easy to medium difficulty levels with moderate elevation level. The trails are not that well marked but we always ran into someone cycling or walking their dog or regular hikers who were more than happy to guide us. GPS/ phone signal was available throughout, in case you were wondering.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
