We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Hawthorn Hollow yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Hawthorn Hollow
Hawthorn Hollow trail is very short but is part of a long trail system that takes you through what is now a large area of dead Ash trees before giving you a choice to go left or right. Now the fun begins.Trail loops range from less than a half mile to over four miles..depends if you do one loop or combine a couple..
This is a perfect trail system!! These trails aren't getting enough credit. Doesn't get too much better than this!
Great trail for running, walking and birdwatching. Various trails beyond the Hawthorn entrance.
