Confirmed from Hebron Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Hebron Trail
Great short trail for a quick bike ride (or for a good walk), mostly straight & flat with a few curves & small hills on the eastern end. Trail is well groomed & wide enough to comfortably pass people. Scenery varies quite a bit given the short distance of the trail.
We drove from Rockford to try this trail. It was very nice. Mostly smooth, well shaded in spots. There were rest rooms, although the one at the nature preserve was very rotten. We rode East to the Illinois Prairie Path, and then about 15 miles S of Richmond.
Had a great bike ride ,, total maybe 4-5 miles, wish it was longer , but it was very peaceful ☺️
