Confirmed from Heilmann Regional Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This 102-acre park features a disc-golf course, shelters, play areas, volleyball, tennis & more.
What runners say about Heilmann Regional Park
“Clean park ,good spot for an afternoon read.”
“Perfect for kids, BBQ and to take your dog for a walk or just to play.”
Nice little park. Two baseball baseball diamonds with fences and scoreboards. There's also two soccer fields. Between the baseball and soccer field there's walkways so you can walk between them. Around the whole park is a trail that you can walk around take your dog on.
Nice off-the-beaten path park has lawn, playground, disc golf course, restrooms, picnic areas. Used to have water play, not sure if it still does. Disc golf area is dry and hot in summer. Park is well maintained and welcoming.
Great dog park, fun playground, and spray pad (when covid isn't around), and good hiking with disc golf course.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
