Confirmed from Helen & Allan Cruickshank Sanctuary's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Natural sanctuary that’s home to more than 300 scrub jays as well as turtles, rabbits and tortoises.

“Easy to navigate, and great for birdwatching and photography.”
“It was an easy trail to walk, and it felt very peaceful.”
“It is an easy hike, maybe 1 mile in total on flat ground.”
The entrance is easy to miss… it’s a quick turn off the main road. But once you enter…wow!! Florida Scrub Jays EVERYWHERE!! It was an easy trail to walk, and it felt very peaceful. Enjoy these photos I took!
One of my favorite places to walk. A beautiful little sanctuary with lots of wild life. Most know for the abundant scrub jay, these curious birds are fun to watch. I’ve seen bunnies and turtles as well. Small dirt parking lot can fill up quick. Lots of native Florida plants and flowers.
It's a small area, but it's a nice and peaceful hike. You can still hear road noise and the train, but it's cool to have something like this in the city. I usually like to do a 10+ mile hike, but did this since I am recovering from ankle surgery. The formal trail is only 1.1 miles, but you could get a good 2.
Nice scrub sanctuary, although it is surrounded by suburbia. You can hear planes, dogs barking, and cars going by at certain parts of the sanctuary. I would take an hour at least to walk the trails. The parking lot is very small, and there are no facilities here, including bathrooms.
