Confirmed from Hemlock Falls' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“It’s an easy hike overall.”

The waterfall was quite crowded with lots of people splashing around. While the waterfall wasn't particularly tall, it is decent enough of an attraction to stop in the middle of the hike to explore. Beside the waterfall there's a staircase route to the top of the waterfall - the view was spectacular and empty.

Beautiful and peaceful. It’s an easy hike overall. Many benches to sit around and take in the waterfalls which is a nice touch. Many striking plants and flowers. Does not get overalls packed with people when you go at certain times! Love this place.

Love coming here! Beautiful hiking trails, the waterfalls are excellent. Great place to spend an hour or two or a whole day with family and friends. Bring snacks/water bug spray etc. Multiple places to park and then enter to enjoy the area.

visited Hemlock Falls yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to access, especially for families with kids. I went with my 2-year-olds and my older kids (9 years old), and they all loved it. The walk from the parking lot to the waterfall is short and easy, perfect for little ones.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 37 mentions

“A good small trail to have nice little hike kind of experience(not an exact hiking) but yeah amidst the nature a small trail to walk through to reach a small waterfall.”
