Confirmed from Hennepin Canal Feeder Bike Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

We Love it here! Have so many great photos and great fun and peaceful experiences here! Beautiful outdoors recreational trail spot for fishing, nature walks or hikes up in the forest trail that is parallel to the paved trail next to canal. Good for jogging, dog walking and bicycling too!

★★★★★ — Mami , Jan 2018

We love the walk bridge over the river and the rest of the trail is a good place to jog or take the dog for a walk.

★★★★★ — Bill , Jun 2020

Such a beautiful place to go walk and watch the sunset!! I try to go walking once a week and love it here

★★★★★ — Adreanna , Apr 2019

My wife & I moved back to Princeton after we retired & have biked the Hennepin Canal from Bureau to east of Annawan, as well as the feeder all the way to the Rock River in Rock Falls. This feeder line was the most primitive of all the canal trails we ridden.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
