Confirmed from Heritage Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Heritage Park
Great trail with ample parking and restrooms. Step back in history and see the Concord Woolen Mill ruins. In and out 3.5 miles and access to the Silver Comet trail
Good trail for a leisurely walk. Dogs must be on a leash, but some people don't follow the rules. No biking allowed. Trail runs alongside the creek, which I really like.
Nice parking lot with access to Silver Comet Trail. They also had clean bathrooms they day I visited. I didn't makento the ruins but saw many folks walking around and enjoying the area. This is not far from the Concord Covered Bridge so when driving there, pay attention to signage.
A park that straddle Mableton and Smyrna with a trail that practically goes along Nickajack Creek ending near Concord Woolen Mill when it merges with Silver Comet Trail not far from its Concord road entrance. It is a beautiful park but plagued by gnats/mosquitos in summer probably because it is along a water body.
Trail conditions & character
“The parking area is at the corner of Fontaine Road and Nickajack road and can be entered from either.”
“Well maintained trail with covered picnic and restroom structure.”
“Dogs must be on a leash, but some people don't follow the rules.”

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
