This tunnel is an uncommon fit in the Silver Comet trail, mostly because it’s peculiar design surrounded by a forest. Definitely stands out. It’s incredibly well maintained although it retains a lot of humidity and moisture in its walls, so kudos to the keepers for it must be challenging.

One of a few tunnels on the Silver Comet. Always a great place for biking, running or walking.
This whole area is pretty amazing. Along the Silver Comet trail. The paved trail is an easy hike with lots of fun along the way. The one way bridges, the amazing hiking, curvy roads, and a river! my wife and I have gone here several times and love to spend some time around the old building ruins and river .
