You can take a nice walk across the bridge and back. Mill pond is on the right side of the bridge. Keep an eye out for the famous Bald eagle couple of Long Island! Their nest is in the area and they come to the pond to hunt. They are huge majestic birds.
Nice, short walk across bridge, also small area around cool 22' tall sculpture of a blue heron. Spill way under bridge, looks like good fishing for bass, crappie and a few others off bridge during high tide. Nice view. Parking on either side of the bridge. Didn't investigate the other side.

Beautiful area to stop by, either after having a sandwich at hometown bake shop or something from Sweetie Pie's on main. Not a lot of parking, but you can easily walk from down the road if you want to sit for some quiet and to take in nature. Recommended.
