We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Highland Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Sprawling park for youngsters, adults and dogs, featuring ballfields, picnic spots and play areas.

What runners say about Highland Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (60 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Nice park that features 2 pavilions, 2 playgrounds, one dog park, basketball court and walking path (also baseball area, soccer field , bathrooms ). My son enjoys running from the larger playground we call the big kid one to the smaller playground (for smaller kids).

★★★★★ — Allen , Aug 2025

Hard to beat such a village park. Great pavilions for a party; Baseball on the weekends. Soccer field in the corner. The tennis courts could use a little love. So by the dog park for a scratch, fetch and a little love. Might be nice to update the turf there too.

★★★★☆ — Justin , Jul 2023

This park is amazing. While they don't seem to care so much about the comfort of your dog when it's enclosed in the "dog park" area, the rest of the place is great. You can walk, bike, skate, play tennis, pickle ball, baseball or softball, there are two playgrounds for kids, and much more.

★★★★★ — Boss , Jul 2025

Very nice park . There's a picnic area pavilion with grills playground with swings. Nice walking trails Clean restrooms. Great place to have a picnic.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
