This is a great shaded park to walk your puppy. I've always meet nice people here and most everyone has their dog's on leashes. I come here now almost daily as we are new to the area and this park is 3 minutes from our house. Needs more light for the evening walks after dark.
Kokomo has many nice parks; probably eight or nine of them. The three largest are Highland Park, Foster Park and Jackson Morrow Park, they are all very nice. Highland Park features mini large grassy areas that are great for walking and frisbee, jogging and other activities.
I really enjoy walking this park. One thing I see that needs to be done is for the old remnants of the old zoo to be cleaned up and brought back to life a little. Theres a spot that there are stairs walking down to the creek area, with a couple of benches, and some old stone work surrounding the area.
I wouldn't make the drive from Indianapolis just to see this park, but if you are already coming up to check out the lights at We Care Park, it's worth an additional stop.
