Confirmed from Highlands Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Highlands Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (103 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“Clean, and ample receptacles so you can pick up your dog's mess and dispose of easily”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“Lord of shade and long stretch of gravel road for kids to ride there bikes on, while adults can keep an eye from up above the how under the shades.”

Fun park with nice perimeter trail and open field for activities. My little dog loves this park for squirrel sitings. Easy access to neighborhood. Convenient parking. Nice shady area for picnics.

★★★★★ — Brenda , Apr 2021

The park is lovely. A nice walking track is around the perimeter. The playground features a Zipline like metal structure and a safe seesaw. The only downside is the bathroom situation is not ideal. There's no permanant structure. Just an outhouse without a sink.

★★★★☆ — Sophia , Jul 2018

Perfect place to bring the kids. Lord of shade and long stretch of gravel road for kids to ride there bikes on, while adults can keep an eye from up above the how under the shades.

★★★★★ — Kuntal , Oct 2020

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 9 mentions

“The playground, the soccer field and most of all the dog walk around was perfect for our Raina🐶”
