Confirmed from Hiking Trailhead | Shadow Cliffs' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Hiking Trailhead | Shadow Cliffs
“Such a beautiful place among the urban locality in Pleasanton is a pure bliss.”
Very lovely trail. Nature at its best. Such a beautiful place among the urban locality in Pleasanton is a pure bliss.
Nice big open space. North entrance is the regular entrance with the parking lot and where you can easily get to the grassy area, lake, buildings, picnic area, boat rental, etc. South is hiking trails and you park on the street. You can go from one side to the other, but it's a long walk.
It's a nice little recreational park offering trails for hiking, picnic, kayaking, fishing etc. There is a big lake with a shore like a beach filed with ducks and pelicans. There are also tiny lakes inside the woods for fishing. Parking fees is about $6 and is open for visitors now.
Beautiful trail combination of access roads and a few single tracks. Beautiful flora and birds.
