Confirmed from Hilburn Preserve - Capitol Land Trust's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve offering a peaceful walk that's good for kids.

Beautiful lil spot great place to bring your dog or kids or both! Trails, water and some wildlife to view at times. Parking is ample evey time i have visited. Pretty clean as well minus those with dogs who have failed to clean up their dogs doo doo mess.
Great little trail system. Walked for an hour or so stopping to take pictures.
Great walk. Sort of a Dead end after crossing railroad tracks. It leads to a spot where in spring or summer you can cross the creek. I spent today there and I gotta say it's great. I saw some salmon swimming up and down stream. It rained a bit but the canopy can be thick enough in places where you can stay pretty dry.
Beautiful trail with several benches to sit and watch the creek. Very relaxing little walk in nature. Clean and quiet and perfect place to bring a friend and have a slow walk. Take pictures, spend time sitting and talking if your with someone else because the trail is not long. Great escape.

“It's very out of the way and kind of hidden with the small parking area just behind a used car lot.”

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
