We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Hill of Abraham yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Hill of Abraham
“Nice trail, not too steep and you will have a great view after you go on a certain level”
“Dog friendly, family friendly, drone friendly park.”
A fantastic place during the Spring time when the California poppies and many other flowers blossom. It is a great experience to see the hills that are usually brown and burned by the merciless southern Californian sun being transformed in colorful waves of flowers in a sea of life.
Dog friendly, family friendly, drone friendly park. Easy hike. So beautiful!
Beautiful display of California Poppies and other California flowers. Easy access from freeway, wear good shoes for hiking rough terrain. There are park rangers and police there to help keep control of the crowds, and keep everyone following the rules so everyone can enjoy their experience.
This Hill is not the 1st one if you turn right down the frontage road it is down a ways and a much better area for photographs and an easier Hill to climb for elderly or small children. A perfect photo opportunity area during poppy season in the Spring
