Confirmed from Hilltop Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Secluded playground with fitness equipment for adults, plus picnic areas.
What runners say about Hilltop Park
“Overall it was a very nice well-maintained community Park.”
If you are in the mood for a nice walk I would 100% recommend this park. It has switchbacks down a hill until you reach a retention pond. Setup allows walkers/runners of all types to enjoy the trail.
This park is a hidden gem of the neighborhood. Lots of nice grassy cross country trails as well as a partially paved walking path. The top part of the path is crushed gravel, but I believe the bottom half is still paved.
I was a resident from May of 2024 to January of 2025. When I arrived I wore diapers and did not think I would ever walk again. There were some struggles but due to the physical therapy department and the social services department I walked out of the facility into my own apartment in January of this year.
Very nice little park located in a high-end community.(Nevillewood) Very chill and usually not crowded. Nice little playground and a couple of pavilions. Great, mostly gravel walking path. Named the Meadow Path and/or Discovery Path. The area is named Hilltop Park for a reason.
Trail conditions & character
“Not much of a loop and some paved some not, and a lot downhill and then back uphill.”
“Paved path is up a giant hill, so be ready for a workout as all paths here are very hilly.”
“The grounds and the pavillion are beautiful, but the playground equipment and the playground area itself need a little TLC.”
“This park also has a small, but nice playground for kids, a picnic pavilion, real bathrooms, a nice boche ball court, and outdoor fitness equipment for adults.”
“The top part of the path is crushed gravel, but I believe the bottom half is still paved.”
“Not hard but a little more than a flat path for a walk or run workout.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
