Confirmed from Hilochee WMA Osprey Unit East Trail Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Hilochee WMA Osprey Unit East Trail Trailhead
“There is some shade on that trail and gorgeous native flowers and scenery.”
“We only went on the short trail so far, but it's a nice easy walk.”
I use this side because of the longer walk needed to get to the lakes. A nice walk through nature. Bring plenty of water and shade.
I was happy to find this spot for a run, considering how much traffic there is in all the surrounding area and no parks or or anything nearby that I could find. We were staying at an RV park nearby and I ran 6 mi total (out and back) in this sort-of natural setting without worrying about getting hit by a car.
Pretty place to hike! I don't understand people saying it's more like a "service road." I only hiked the Corridor trail, so I didn't get to see the East trail yet. But the Corridor trail is wonderful. There is some shade on that trail and gorgeous native flowers and scenery. Not super long, but a pleasant hike.
We only went on the short trail so far, but it's a nice easy walk. Great to bring kids and let them run and actually be in nature. We all enjoyed it.
