Confirmed from Lake Play's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Okay so i love this place. It have covered table areas with bbq grills all around the walk and a fenced in play park for kids. There are always ducks swimming around in the lake its just an awesome place to throw an low cost event! Ive had numerous birthday parties here for kids.

A cute little playground/park, nice to use if it’s not too burning hott out or you just need to kill an hour of time. It also has a walking trail which is nice. No public bathrooms, but it’s next to a fire station and they’ve let me use their bathroom before which is nice.

Great playground for young children. And a walking trail around the lake. Took off one star because I couldn’t find any parkings close by so I parked by the Historic center and we have to walk across the grass to get inside the playground which is not fun especially after the rain when the grass still so wet

Great place to take kids to play and walk around the water. This afternoon, several families were out. I love seeing community parka filled, and I’m happy that city leaders created a space for families to enjoy the outdoors

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 6 mentions

“Dog waste stations are available, hopefully responsible dog owners will make use of.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
