Confirmed from Ho-Ho-Kus Brook Ravine's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Ho-Ho-Kus Brook Ravine
This is a small to medium Brook and Ravine with a Spillway and deep pool that is in the middle of a highly developed area. With that being said, you feel quite remote and is a stunning place for a walk. With the leaves starting to change this place is even better! Go enjoy!
Such a lovely place to take a walk… especially at this time of year when everything along the path is coming back to life. This is an easy, almost completely flat path that provides visitors with a great opportunity to take an easy walk in a beautiful suburban setting!

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
