Confirmed from Irene Habernickel Family Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with baseball fields and a playground for little ones.
What runners say about Irene Habernickel Family Park
I was pleasantly surprised by this Park! A well traveled, short, easy to navigate trail leads you to The Ho Ho Kus Brook. There are benches for sitting and the dense older growth forest is comprised of Tulip Poplar and Beech which offer nice shade on a hot summer day.
I was on a class trip with kindergarteners Its local, the program was run beautifully with 3 different learning experiences and time to lunch outdoors and play They offer many nutrition and cooking programs for young kids to adult cooking classes Highly recommend
Nice park for mixed age children. Good for bikes and walking. There is a wooded trail I haven't ventured into yet. There is a playground, ball fields and what looks to be, a community garden.
An excellent place for walks and to spend time in peace and quiet surrounded by nature!

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
