What a beautiful relaxing area. Families can enjoy picnics, a little bit of light fishing, nice walking path and the outdoors. Has plenty of shade, a small array of fitness equipment, and some wildlife (ducks, geese and prairie dogs) to enjoy watching or feeding.
Benches, Baseball Field, Basketball Court, Picnic Area, Restrooms, and Volleyball Court. Very recommended for evening and morning walk. The wind and the sound of the bird as well as the animals will make your exercise far more better.
I really enjoyed coming here for a walk. It’s really fun to watch the prairie dogs run around and squeak. I felt relatively safe and there were lots of places to sit and be in the shade if you’re concerned about that.
After visiting Hodges, I don’t understand why anyone would go to the “real” prairie dog town. Hodges is much cleaner, more interesting, a lot more trees, and the lake is a huge plus. I love running the trails here and having the dogs cheer me on all the way! One of my favorite places to catch the sunset too :)
