Confirmed from Hollywood Reservoir Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This walking path is absolutely gorgeous and perfect if you are looking for an easy 3-mile walk. It is paved all the way around the dam. Lots of birds, ducks, and other wildlife. If you start at the dam, there is a perfect spot to take pix of the Hollywood sign at the midpoint.
I was visiting LA without a car. I walked up through this reservoir from the Hollywoood/Vine metro stop. The walk through the Hollywood neighborhood is beautiful and interesting! The reservoir is a gem with cool views, including of Hollywood sign.
Absolutely gorgeous loop trail around the reservoir. 3.5 mile loop, so of the trail takes you out to the neighborhood street and then back into the fenced area.. as long as you continue following the fence you’ll be fine, it’s a giant circle. The views of the houses, nature and Hollywood sign make it a must do!!
3.5 miles loop trail all paved and fenced. There are plenty of parking and thy are free. The sign says no pets allowed but I saw some people walking their dogs. Because it’s paved consider as easy walking and disabled accessible. If you choose the left path you will have some great views on top of the dam.
