Confirmed from Horse Butte Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area known for mountain biking with kid-friendly trails.
What runners say about Horse Butte Trailhead
“Great trails, beautiful country, getting too busy though.”
I loved visiting this place. There are a few parking areas along the road you can pull into. The trails aren't clearly marked but you can tell where they go. Climbing to the top of the butte will require you are steady on your feet as there's lots of loose rock and some steep sections on the way up.
Great trail. I enjoyed riding this trail ..but you are out in the open so take water with you. I hope to come back and ride again
Love this area! Great for hiking, unbelievable mountain biking, and still so close to town!
Great trailhead great trail. Amazing views from the top. One of my favorite places to hike with the fur babies. Great parking and the road to it is well maintained.
