Confirmed from GoodDog!'s own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Wooded, vast area for dogs to roam off leash on myriad trails, as well as river access and walking loops.

What runners say about GoodDog!

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (315 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🐕 dog-walking favorite 8 mentions

“Vast open Forest space for dogs to roam or walk, so many different trails that all lead to the river in just about a mile and then miles of trail to walk along the river.”

This place is an AMAZING spot for you to bring your dog (and kids). It's a GREAT moderate walk to the river. There are a number of off-leash trails to get you there. Heads up - grab a bunch of sticks before getting to the river. The shore side has been cleaned of low hanging branches.

★★★★★ — Operation , Jun 2020

This is our favorite place to take our dog. We've lived here for 2 years and continue to go here at least monthly. It's a great place to get outside, socially distance, exercise your dog, and get great river views.

★★★★★ — Rio , Mar 2021

This is a huge space that allows dogs to run off leash and take a dip in the river. This was our dog's first off-leash, wilderness experience, and we found interactions with other dogs and their humans at times uncomfortable with some dogs/owners welcoming energetic play, some tolerating it, and others resenting it.

★★★★☆ — Rod , Jul 2025

This is way more than a dog park. It's plenty of connected trails with many dogs off leash. If you hike back far enough you will find the river which is absolutley gorgeous. There are numerous river access points and if you head west you can follow the river for up to 16 miles.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
