Confirmed from Hot Springs Creek Greenway Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Beautiful walk that takes you to the main street in Hot Springs. Lots of scenery along the way and all paved.

★★★★★ — Shana , May 2024

Would rate a 4.5 overall. 70% shaded from 9-11 am. Combination of asphalt/concrete, industrial, stream side, through the forest, along and crossing streets, art, power lines, benches, generally flat, wildlife, bathrooms, water fountains, dog friendly, wide trails, etc. Well done, Hot Springs!

Traveling from Wisconsin, which has very good bike trails. This is one of the top five in the United States. Relatively level and very smooth asphalt. So much to look at… Babbling Brooks, Art, farmers market, old buildings, falling down buildings, nature, and the changing of leaves.

Pretty paved walking area along a creek. There is lots of shade on part of the walk, then full sun on the hilly part. There is a large section with an open grassy area but no picnic tables, so bring your blanket to eat by the creek. There are some lovely art installations along the walk.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
