Confirmed from The Grand Promenade's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about The Grand Promenade
“Yes, the water is actually extremely hot, and it was trickling as we walked by, it was steaming and it looked beautiful.”
“A calm walking space that has some historical plaques for viewing.”
Nice wide walkway along a cliff overlooking downtown Hot Springs. Very nicely maintained and scenic. Several side trails along the promenade and a few fountains for taking a break. It was very relaxing while I was taking here, it is lovely me a huge long park area for pedestrians.
Nice somewhat easy walk with lots of side trails branching off the main path to multiple small sites of interest. I would suggest starting on the south end and walking north then back down along in front of the bath houses on your return. For anyone with mobility issues there is a ramp at the halfway point.
Very nice place to take a walk along a historical path. Plus, you can learn a bit along the way. I recommend taking the trail off the path up to Mountain Tower. It’s so beautiful and you can catch some great views up there.
Hot Springs is a well maintained National Park, in many ways it was like walking back in time. Visiting the different bath houses was really interesting, they became such a temptation that we took time for an afternoon spa and were thoroughly relaxed & refreshed as well.
