Confirmed from Hudson River Waterfront Walkway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Waterfront walkway with Manhattan-area vistas, plus benches, eateries and a park.

One of the most amazing places in Jersey City. Favorite venue for family walks, running 🏃♀️, and enjoying the beautiful views of Hudson River and NYC.
Incredible views, a lot of people walking around & jogging, tons of dog owners, multiple restaurants nearby
Definitely one of my favorite bike paths in the area! There's so much to see, and plenty of options for food along the way. The views of the city are great, and it's very beautiful at night.
Peaceful walk way with view of NYC and the Hudson River. There are chairs and tables to sit and enjoy a meal or coffee on. Also benches along the walk way. Nearby you have Starbucks and the Hyatt regency. A good place to come hang out with friends. They are currently doing some renovations to the area.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
