Confirmed from Huff ’n’ Puff Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 4 mentions

“Nice easy trail for a walk in a forest.”

Good place to walk your dog, yourself, and play Frisbee golf. High quality, would huff and or puff again.

★★★★★ — Rory , Jul 2022

What a great place to fit in a quick exercise walk. Well-maintained wide trails zig zag through a forest with a really nice native plant understory. Multiple flat and gently sloped trails to choose from for the time and energy I have. Seems like safe enough parking, open understory for security.

★★★★★ — Heidi , Jan 2023

A beautiful, quiet, peaceful place to walk. Recently new bark was put down on the trail, so it's even better! It's like talking a hike...but so close to home. Perfect on a hot day because it has lots of shade.

★★★★★ — Margarete , Jul 2020

Nice long trail to enjoy a walk alone or with a friend. There’s a disc golf course too for those who play. Some Pokémon go gyms also! But there’s more to adventure off too off the trail which was fun

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
