Confirmed from Hyde Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with facilities for baseball, tennis, and skateboarding, plus a playground and splash pad.
What runners say about Hyde Park
“Fortunately the splash pad got them all clean again!”
Very nice park. The playground equipment is suitable for young children too which is good for my family, I dont have to worry as much about my 3 year old getting hurt and he gets to be more independent. There are plenty of spots to set up parties or picnics. The walking path is also kept in great condition.
We went to look at the Christmas lights and were not disappointed! They were so well done and we almost had the park to ourselves. It was magical to wander, looking at the lights (although a tad chilly). The park, though in the dark, seemed well cared for and nicely lit.
We use this park for a family reunion. It was very nice and clean in the picnic area. The bathrooms are getting pretty old and they could really use some Updating. The electrical worked fine. If you have somebody who can't walk well?
Nice park with a great play structure and paved walking paths several spots with picnic tables and benches. During the summer the splash pad is fun. Has easy parking and usually has a bathroom. (Currently under construction).

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
