Great little trail just off Lawe Street. On the other side of the bridge over the Fox River you can take a trail that leads through the woods up to Lawrence University or back towards the College Avenue bridge.
This relaxing trail along the Fox River is part of the well-marked Fox Trot Trail, which also winds through town. At this point, it’s a dedicated, paved, multi-use trail with historical markers. Wonderful views of the water with numerous birds looking for food in the churning waters.
Stopped at this trailhead to check out the foot bridge and historical marker on this island.
