Confirmed from IBM Glen's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about IBM Glen
“However, down in the glen gorge are some beautiful treasures: the stone bridge, the big waterfalls, several unique geological features, etc.”
Beautiful spot with multiple trails with easy access. We took the yellow trail for about 1.5 miles to get down to the original stone arch bridge and gorgeous bluestone waterfalls. Truly a unique area glad they preserved it. Pet friendly our dog was excited to be here too.
I really like the IBM glen trails, I gave it 4 stars due to the crazy woman with the golden retriever who walked up to my car and started taking pictures of me and my car license plate when I arrived at 9:30 on Sunday morning!
I've been walking/hiking/cross country skiing here since 1985. It's a hidden gem in the area. The trails vary between wide and semi-paved to narrow and dirt. Some are relatively flat, and some are steep enough to get the heart pumping.
Best place in the world! I like to hike the trails, watch birds and wildlife, enjoy the change of seasons, and see all the other wonderful hikers. It's a great place to get outside and get some exercise.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
