Confirmed from Indian Lands Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Beautiful, easy hike, sort of parallel to the Cape Cod Rail Trail”

🐕 dog-walking favorite 5 mentions

“My dogs love it, as do I.”

Great place to get out and either use the rail trail for a bike ride or take a casual walk/ jog for some exercise while taking in views of nature and the Bass River. Parking is ample and convenient. I’d definitely go back!

About 1.8 miles from parking lot around loop and back. Mostly flat with a few inclines. Lots of birds and small crabs. Entrance is near south end of old South Dennis cemetery. Follow road to houses and bear left to follow tidal river shore and marshes. Saw 3 lady slippers on trail.

★★★★★ — Diane , Jul 2022

I love the hiking trails in Cape Cod, and we did several the last time we visited the Cape.

★★★★★ — Heli , May 2022

Beautiful area with a couple of quiet, scenic hiking trails. We had to ask to find the trailhead (it's not the Cape Cod Rail Trail although you can access the trail here) and it was worth it. Beautiful views along two loop trails as well as several other paths through the woods.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
