Confirmed from Indian Lands Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Looping trails for hiking and dog walking pass marshes and woodlands.
What runners say about Indian Lands Conservation Area
“One of my all time favorite trails on the cape, just off the bike path in Yarmouth along the beautiful bass River!”
“It's a short hike along the power lines, but the Indian Lands trails are another world, quite peaceful this time of year.”
“Beautiful, easy hike, sort of parallel to the Cape Cod Rail Trail”
“My dogs love it, as do I.”
Great place to get out and either use the rail trail for a bike ride or take a casual walk/ jog for some exercise while taking in views of nature and the Bass River. Parking is ample and convenient. I’d definitely go back!
About 1.8 miles from parking lot around loop and back. Mostly flat with a few inclines. Lots of birds and small crabs. Entrance is near south end of old South Dennis cemetery. Follow road to houses and bear left to follow tidal river shore and marshes. Saw 3 lady slippers on trail.
I love the hiking trails in Cape Cod, and we did several the last time we visited the Cape.
Beautiful area with a couple of quiet, scenic hiking trails. We had to ask to find the trailhead (it's not the Cape Cod Rail Trail although you can access the trail here) and it was worth it. Beautiful views along two loop trails as well as several other paths through the woods.
