Confirmed from Inlet Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Natural surfaceScenic

Park with hot springs and trails, plus fishing in the Jordan River.

What runners say about Inlet Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (464 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“The paths are paved, well-maintained, and offer sweeping views of the lake and the Wasatch Range—perfect for a sunset jog or a long-distance bike ride.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 9 mentions

“The views of Utah Lake are beautiful, especially during the evening, and the large trees near the hot pool area provide some welcome shade.”

Weve been here last week looking for hotspring on the way to yellowstone ( we missed a lot of good hotdpring cz run out of time) some of teenage (local) dip here, its kinda mudy & small area & was beside the river and a little walk to the park, its ok ;) dunno if bacteria is presence in the water, water is hot anyway..

Beautiful scenery and walking path near the river. Baseball diamond. Children's playground.Tons of green grass for people and dogs to play. We saw several pelicans and a paragon falcon. Covered pavillion areas are also plentiful to beat the summer heat.

Inlet Park: A Versatile Gem on the North Shore If you’re looking for a spot that balances recreation with a bit of "getaway" energy without leaving Saratoga Springs, Inlet Park is a top-tier choice.

I go here often as part of my run. You can access the trail and see different parts of the river and the lake. There is a playground nearby, access for kayaks or canoes, fishing (I wouldn't eat any) and bird watching. I wouldn't swim here either but it's beautiful to look at.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 15 mentions

“The paths are paved, well-maintained, and offer sweeping views of the lake and the Wasatch Range—perfect for a sunset jog or a long-distance bike ride.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
