Confirmed from Interurban South Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Interurban South Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (88 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“Beautiful trail for how short it is; there are a few scenic vegetation points (such as flowing water), and a nice (yet old) barrier that blocks off a large drop.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“There are parts of the trail that are not shaded, so it can get hot.”

I loved that this is a paved, pretty smooth path and is surrounded by beautiful trees. Part of it does go right alongside the freeway and you have to cut across streets

★★★★☆ — Alyson , Nov 2021

A very scenic trail, starts to get very green and lush after about the first mile from the Interurban South Trailhead. Great for a nice relaxing stroll.

★★★★★ — Paul , Apr 2022

This trail is a great place for a hike or run. The trail is a little more than 2.5 miles up if you start at the 70th avenue trailhead in Fife. The ascent up lasts for about three quarters of the trail, but it's not too steep anywhere along the trail.

★★★★★ — Bryan , Oct 2020

Trailhead is now on the north side of the parking lot, away from the intersection and Emish market, and weaves through the construction site before joining up with the main trail

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
