Confirmed from Levee Pond Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Levee Pond Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (230 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 10 mentions

“It's quiet, your dog can run free and mount Rainier highlights the jogging track around lili pads, ducks and cat size toads.”

Quiet, life filled pond with walking trails or track, and breath taking Mt Rainier best at sunrise and sunset

★★★★★ — Janet , Jun 2025

Perfect spot if you want to take pictures of Mt. Rainier. Take your dog to run and play or sit on the dock and read or meditate. It's very pretty and secluded even though it's close to homes and traffic it's like walking into another dimension.

★★★★★ — Stacy , Jun 2025

I like going here but it's one of those places you probably don't want to go at night. In the evenings especially Friday, I find it a "proceed with caution place." The area has a nice paved trail that goes around the lake. There are access points to get you down to the water.

beautiful quiet gem. Plesently surprised, helped me release stress, walked around the lake twice, just the view of the two weeping willows and the newly built deck and paved path wraps around was breathtaking in it self ..

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
