Confirmed from Irene B. Thomas Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Neighborhood park featuring a playground, a pond, a skateboard area, and picnic spots, plus a walking trail.
What runners say about Irene B. Thomas Park
“Great Park with a well shaded playground, walking path and pond to fish from.”
“This park is surprisingly very peaceful and quiet despite being in the middle of Hinesville.”
This park is amazing just to read a book and relax, not a lot of people but just enough to be a nice area. They even have a pond to go fishing, a playground for kids to play on, and a trail to walk on, this park is truly wonderful!
I stumbled upon this gem by accident about a year ago. This park is surprisingly very peaceful and quiet despite being in the middle of Hinesville. It has a big pond with a walking/running path surrounding it and plenty of benches to sit on while gazing at the pond and habitants.
Great Park with a well shaded playground, walking path and pond to fish from. Hidden away from view but easy to access. Just follow the road directly across the street from Burger King on E.G Miles Parkway, and it will lead you straight there.
This is a nice little park to come either alone or with your family. I enjoy this park. It's not overly large,a paved walking area all around the pond.
