It's a large and well maintained park. The trail is nice and it's cool due to the shade provided by tall trees. It was great to walk with my dog. When walking along the creek, you can see Alligators, turtles, small crabs and snakes... Many people were running, walking or riding bicycles.
Henry and Clara Ford bought land in the area for a winter home, and transformed the area into a thriving place. Ford introduced innovations and opportunities to the struggling area, creating job opportunities. J.F.
Beautiful park with a fenced playground. And amenities that include a 25,000 square foot covered pavilion for picnicking, and 335 acres of park area that includes hiking and biking trails. People can be observed fishing from the covered bridge or on the banks of the river.
I stopped here to take a call when passing through on I-95, and I’m chuffed to bits that I did. While walking around, I saw a statue of General Lee, which I have no clue why it’s here since there’s no context but as a Virginian, I was happy to come across it, then I saw a memorial stone for a K-9 who perished a few…
