Confirmed from The Celery Farm's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
A 107-acre wetlands preserve with trails, hosting 53 breeding bird species (with 240 sighted here).
What runners say about The Celery Farm

“📸🦉🦌🐸 It was a beautiful day filled with laughter, learning, and meaningful connection with nature.”
“🌿 Nature, Connection, and Discovery 🌿 This weekend we explored the peaceful trails of the Celery Farm in Allendale, NJ.”
“Highly recommend to anyone looking for an easy hike that is under 1 hour.”
This nature preserve is a really beautiful spot to hike. There's a small parking lot near the entrance that can fit maybe 6 or 7 cars, so you might have to park on a nearby street.
A beautiful spot in northern NJ with no dogs, no BBQs, no fishing or hunting... just nature and the trail and you. The wide variety of birds and other wildlife here becomes very apparent after only a few minutes. Do bring your camera, binoculars, and comfy shoes for light hiking though mostly dirt trails.
Took a walk around this 1 mile trail in the Winter of 2022. ❄️ Very peaceful and tranquil. Was a bit windy windy and cold this day with a brief snow squall that rolled through. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an easy hike that is under 1 hour.
The Park is so peaceful and beautiful. The only negative thing is there are lots of signs telling you to stay on the trails but no directions on the trails . Biggest turtles I've ever seen !🐢🐢🐢
Trail conditions & character
“not as secret as it seems, as even on a 30 degree day in March at 830am the lot is almost full, but it’s a fantastic place to go for a walk.”
