Confirmed from Island Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic waterfront park offering a treehouse-themed playground & a picnic pavilion.
What runners say about Island Park
“The paths are clean and the lawns are well kept.”
“Beautiful park right between Fox River that is great for everyone - even your furry friends!”
What makes this park so special is probably because it's on the banks of the Fox River.. You truly feel energized there to get into any activity like biking, running, walking or even fishing whatever your favorite leisurely pass time is..
Looove the walking path, playground and gazebo is perfect for parties BUT it is a huge hassle to transport items for parties. Even worse, if you have disabled guests, they might want to stay home.
Came here on the last week of September, was still 70°. One of the most relaxing and tranquil places to take a walk. Spent about two hours here and saw bikers and walkers, was too busy for biking but will come back next year with our bikes.
First time visiting and thought it was wonderful. We saw so much wild life in a short walk around the park. The paths are clean and the lawns are well kept. If we're ever in the area, we'll definitely stop by again!
