Confirmed from Israel Beal Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Israel Beal Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (236 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 10 mentions

“Nice walking areas, plenty of play equipment for the littles, and clean restrooms.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“The park has a great mix of wide open spaces, shaded picnic areas, and a well-designed playground that kids absolutely love.”

Restrooms available. 2 playground sections. Parking on the street sides. Park was very clean. Long pathway to ride a bike or walk. Do ignore the gunshot noise from the shooting range.

★★★★★ — Emi , Oct 2023

Nice walking areas, plenty of play equipment for the littles, and clean restrooms. The only drawback to some might be the skeet shooting below the park but doesn't bother me. The trail has a slight incline in spots that helps work the cardio. Also has a couple of equipment stations.

★★★★★ — Deborah , Jan 2019

Really neat park, two playgrounds, basketball hoops, and a decent trail for walking, roller skating, etc.

Love this park , just wish there was more shade. But it's an awesome park. My cat Batman loves it here.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
