Confirmed from J.B. Hunt Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Really solid beginner friendly course.”

Nice park! Good place to run. I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars because it has gotten a little sketchier over the years. However, it is a nice place to relax. The picture is a pic of a bald eagle at the park.🦅 Great place for sledding when it snows!

J.B. Hunt Park is a beautiful park! It has a full Frisby Golf Course. I've actually seen a lot of folk enjoying it. A full playground. A track and field I believe. It's honestly quite large. Great trails for exercising or walking the pooch! It's become a regular park for my dog and I!

Beautiful park! Lots of nature! Big playground, bathrooms (with flushing toilets), drinking fountains, little fishing lake, great disc golf courses, paved and unpaved trails, and best of all, it feels really safe and family friendly.

Great place to walk and get exercise in, play disk golf, baseball, do some Photography, or wear those kiddos out on the playground. Photos by Faytown Photography

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 6 mentions

“Great park, great disc golf course, be cautious bringing out little dogs with you, saw this guy wandering the course today.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
