Confirmed from J. Travis Price Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreational area featuring playgrounds, sports fields, disc golf and ball courts, along with a greenway and other walking paths.
What runners say about J. Travis Price Park
“Very nice, quiet place, clean with LOTS of room for kids to run around and play”
“You can even walk the greenway that connects to the park through 3 mi of beautiful countryside and parts of Springfield all the way to Garner Street Park, is another local gem.”
We love this place! Beautiful and well kept! We love taking our dogs on a walk here and a swim in the creek 💛
Beautiful park! Clean, pretty pond with hundreds of ducks! Great place to walk, bike, have a picnic, etc.
This is Rudy, taking a swim to cool off after a long walk (5 minutes, 😆) in the park, we love to go there, is nice place and very nice people.
Our children really enjoy this park and my son loves playing baseball at the baseball facilities. We have made a lot of great memories here. There are ducks and geese to feed during most of the year, Good playground equipment, a large metal slide if you drive around the back toward the baseball fields, soccer fields…

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
