Confirmed from Jack N. Abernathy Regional Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Jack N. Abernathy Regional Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,017 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“This park is kept very clean and the equipment is in pretty good shape.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Beautiful park with lots to do for the kids.”

Great trail to walk your dog 🐕, walk or bike. We enter on the side off Irish road near the police station. The trail continues all the way into Davison. Early Spring is a great time to go as mosquitoes get heavy in the summer and Fall.

I love this location!!!😍🥰 It's a new favorite of mine. There are tons of walking trails, space, and opportunity for a peaceful escape. Sheltered picnic areas, benches, basketball courts and open spaces.

This park is kept very clean and the equipment is in pretty good shape. We come here every year for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Great Strides walk. This place is the perfect park to have an awareness walk at!

We loved it! My daughter and I took my little granddaughter. She had so much fun playing on the playground. We had a picnic and took a walk. Such a beautiful park!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 6 mentions

“There were tons of people and dogs here but everyone had space to themselves.”
