We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Jackknife Cove yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“28 side on the beach ⛱️ it's always been a beautiful and picturious place over looking pleasant Bay .”

One of the few places on the cape where you don't need a parking sticker. Not many parking spaces, lots of room on beach. Bring beach footwear, tons of rocks and broken shells. Not the nicest sand around that's for sure. But its a good place to bring kids to look for Hermit Crabs and let them run around.

In my travels I only pulled over stopped and took a few pictures and the view of this beachy scene is well worth the trip! I was unsure if there are more parking but where I parked the gravel had a lot of holes in it so be careful when driving

Fun place to take the kids for a few hours. Lots of shallow water to splash around in. Vwe nice sandy area to sit and relax. Lots of crabs in the shallow water. Tons of horseshoe crabs swimming/walking around to enjoy. The view of the bay is beautiful.

It a nice place for hiking, especially in the summer. The snow, the trees and the water it makes the place so beautiful.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
